Synthetic Bamboo Fencing FAQ
A ONETHATCH synthetic bamboo fence is made of ASA bamboo-look panels, molded from real bamboo and held in a powder-coated aluminum frame. ASA is a weather-tough outdoor resin, and our colors come from mineral (inorganic) pigments, which resist sun-fading far better than ordinary dyes. In the lab, the fence came through 5,000 hours of ASTM G155 accelerated weathering with no significant color change.
It depends on the material: a natural bamboo fence fades, splits and decays outdoors, while ONETHATCH synthetic bamboo fencing is backed by a 20-year limited warranty on the panels and the aluminum frame. For a real-world example, our synthetic bamboo fence at Banyan Tree Maldives had been in use for six years with no visible color change as of 2026.
The standard synthetic bamboo fence is not fire-rated, but an ASTM E84 Class A fire-retardant (FR) version is available to order. If your project or local code calls for a fire-rated fence, mention it in your enquiry and we will quote the FR version.
