Aluminum Bamboo
The three-dimensional node and texture of bamboo, faithfully reproduced on an aluminum tube, for baffle ceilings and curved features. Round aluminum bamboo poles can be custom-bent to any angle, in the diameter and finish you choose, for shapes that resin cannot make.

Fire Retardant Option
The FR version of ONETHATCH synthetic thatch is rated Class A to ASTM E108 (Intertek report 220927005SHF-001). Synthetic bamboo is available in an FR version.
UV Tested
Every thatch style and every synthetic bamboo pole, panel, fence and woven mat passed 5,000 hours of ASTM G155 accelerated weathering at Micom Laboratories, Canada, with no significant colour change (report MI-25-17428-1).
ISO 9001 Manufacturer

We have designed and manufactured synthetic thatch and synthetic bamboo in our own factory since 1996, under ISO 9001 quality management, with tooling and production in-house and a plant that runs on solar power.
ONETHATCH PALM (NIPA) showed no loss of attachment up to 160 mph (260 km/h) in the ASTM D3161 fan test at PRI Construction Materials Technologies (report 2756T0002.1; a laboratory result, not a site design wind speed) and passed Florida TAS 100 wind-driven rain (report 2756T0003.1); the FR thatch version is rated Class A to ASTM E108 by Intertek (report 220927005SHF-001); all thatch and synthetic bamboo passed 5,000 hours of ASTM G155 at Micom Laboratories, Canada (report MI-25-17428-1).
Synthetic thatch and synthetic bamboo carry a 20-year limited warranty; aluminum bamboo carries 6 years. One installation, with no re-thatching or replacement cycle.

Inspired by Nature, Improved by Innovation
Natural thatch and natural bamboo look right on day one. In a resort they then rot, split, mould, attract insects and burn, and every few years the roof is re-thatched or the fence replaced while the bar is closed. ONETHATCH reproduces the material itself, leaf by leaf and node by node, in a weatherable polymer, so the resort gets the look guests expect and the operator gets a surface that stays the same for 20 years.
For coastal, humid, high-UV and fire-regulated venues, synthetic is the better choice. Natural material still suits a heritage restoration or a short-term build; for everything else, this is the roof and the fence we would specify.
Synthetic Thatch Roofing and Bamboo vs Natural: Why Resorts Switch
1. It lasts
Natural thatch is re-thatched every few years and natural bamboo fails outdoors within a few years. ONETHATCH synthetic thatch roofing materials are UV-stabilised HDPE; ONETHATCH bamboo poles, panels and fencing are weatherable ASA that does not chalk or crack at the screws; woven matting is HDPE synthetic fibre. Both are backed by a 20-year limited warranty and 5,000 hours of ASTM G155 testing.
2. No upkeep, no downtime
No re-thatching, no sealing, oiling, staining or re-tying. A synthetic thatch roof and bamboo wall cladding go in once, and the villa, bar or exhibit stays open.
3. Built for the coast
Tropical sun, salt air and storms are the design case, not the exception. ONETHATCH PALM (NIPA) showed no loss of attachment at 260 km/h (160 mph), within the Category 5 range (a laboratory result, not a site design wind speed), when fixed with stainless roofing screws to ONETHATCH specifications, and the thatch passed Florida TAS 100 wind-driven rain. Synthetic bamboo is coloured with inorganic pigments that UV light does not break down.
4. Fire-retardant options
In public venues the roof over the crowd matters. The FR version of ONETHATCH synthetic thatch is rated Class A to ASTM E108 (Intertek), and synthetic bamboo fencing and panels are available in an FR version. Natural thatch and bamboo have no rating at all.
5. Sustainable
PVC-free, non-toxic and 100% recyclable, made in a solar-powered factory, and no rainforest palm or bamboo is cut for the roof. When a roof or panel is finally retired, ONETHATCH recycles the old thatch panels and bamboo panels for free, and applying synthetic thatch can earn LEED points for your building project.
6. Moulded from the real thing
Every thatch panel is moulded from real leaves and every synthetic bamboo pole and panel from real bamboo, node by node. If your project needs a pattern we do not make yet, we cut a new mould.
