01. Threaded Bamboo
Threaded bamboo poles, also called bamboo pipes, are hollow synthetic bamboo tubes in 508 mm (20-inch) sections that screw together to build the length your design needs. Choose from 40, 50 and 75 mm outside diameters (1.5, 2 and 3 inches), all stocked in Sundried; 25 mm and 65 mm (1 and 2.5 inches) are made to order. The compact sections are practical for small-quantity projects, and a free sample lets you check the size in your hand.

For long, unbroken lines, choose one-length bamboo poles cut to order in lengths up to 6 meters for bulk orders and commercial projects. Outside diameters run from a slender 25 mm up to 95 mm, so large diameter bamboo poles can hold their own on a column wrap or feature screen. Synthetic bamboo halves, also called synthetic split bamboo poles, are shaped like a whole bamboo cane cut lengthwise and made in consistent sizes and colors for architectural use. They resist cracking, rot, insects, and fading in sun, humidity, and coastal environments, making them ideal for indoor and outdoor wall and ceiling cladding, decorative trims, pavilions, pergolas, resort décor, and custom feature walls where a durable faux bamboo half-round look is required.

Not on their own. Unreinforced poles are decorative profiles, not load-bearing or construction grade bamboo poles, so they should not carry weight or serve as railings. Where a post must be structural, one-length poles can be supplied with aluminum or stainless steel tube reinforcement, with the design confirmed for each project; contact us. To bring the bamboo look to an existing structure, fix the poles around a steel or concrete column, or over a supporting frame. You get the character of natural bamboo on the surface, with the strength coming from the structure behind.
