Result: ONETHATCH thatch passed 5,000 hours of accelerated weathering with no significant color change. Suited to sunny coastal regions like Praslin, Mahé, Nosy Be and Pemba, where natural palm thatch fades quickly under intense sun.

Result: ONETHATCH PALM (NIPA) showed no loss of attachment up to 160 mph (260 km/h), within the Category 5 range (a laboratory result, not a site design wind speed). Suited to coastal resorts across Zanzibar, Madagascar and Mauritius.

Result: Our Nipa palm thatch shingles are resistant to mould and mildew (ASTM G21), and do not attract termites or tropical insects, making them perfect for high-humidity zones like São Tomé, Seychelles, and the Comoros—without the need for chemical treatments or yearly rethatching.
