Faux Bamboo Everywhere

Everywhere we look, we see faux bamboo, likewise referred to as synthetic bamboo or artificial bamboo. It’s elegant, airy and striking, perfect for the fresh interiors we strive for in the South. Because bamboo’s slim reeds are such a breezy contrast to our environment’s thick humidity, the furniture was originally planned for patios and outdoor patios.

It didn’t take long for Southern decorators to recognize bamboo’s capacity for interiors. Why? We enjoy to link our outside areas with our indoor spaces, and we enjoy to develop interiors that are both beautiful and hospitable (Hospitable– that’s our code for comfy.). Bamboo makes this a stylish possibility. It’s uncommon to discover a piece that works just as well on the deck as it performs in your foyer. Imagine a vinyl lawn chair in your living room. No thanks. Picture a synthetic bamboo fence and a set of Chinese Chippendale chairs blended into a formal living room. Ah, yes! Can you feel the fresh air circulating again?

A piece or more of bamboo can quickly downplay an official area or spruce up a dull space. Recently, we have noticed our Southern design staple becoming popular, especially among the preppy and attractive New York set. The restored interest has motivated new takes on the classic. Now it comes in a rainbow of colors and surfaces that feels hugely today.

Not to be puzzled with natural rattan, faux-bamboo is human-made through a precise process. Each piece is cast from a hand-crafted mold and after that assembled. The look differs from manufacturer to maker. ONETHATCH bamboo collections draw on a family craft we have refined since 1996, molding every piece from real bamboo.

It works anywhere, from beach retreats to city flats. ONETHATCH crafts incredibly authentic faux bamboo products in weather-resistant ASA resin, backed by a 20-year limited warranty.
